Just another day

Today, as I folded laundry, my kiddos played with blocks. Did you know you can play with blocks still? No batteries needed. Nothing to plug in. No voice or sound chips to annoy to death everyone within earshot.
Ahhhhhh...blissfully simple.

New Recipes

Ok, so I love finding a new recipe that everyone in my family likes. Maccaroni and cheese and spaghetti with meatballs gets old real fast, ya know what I mean? So, here is our latest hit. Daddy DeLapper says it reminds him of cabbage rolls.

Turkey Cabbage Bake

2 tubes (oz) crescent rolls, 2 pounds ground turkey, 1/2 onion chopped, 1 tsp minced garlic, 3 c. chopped cabbage, 2 (10-3/4 oz) cream of mushroom, 1 tsp thyme, 2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese

Unroll one tueb crescent dough into one long rectangle; seal seams. Press onto the bottom of a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. Bake at 425 degrees for 6-8 min. or until golden.

In large skillet, cook turkey, onion, carrot and garlic over medium heat until meat is not pink; drain. Add cabbage, soup and thyme. Cook for 3-5 min. longer. Pour over crust; sprinkle with cheese.

Press second tube of dough into rectangle; place over casserole. Bake uncovered, at 375 degrees for 15-18 minutes, or until crust is golden and dish is hot.

Yeild:6 servings
