Family games

I love seeing what I can find at second-hand stores. Some of the best finds have been games, for only $0.99 -1.99! Here are my latest second-hand treasures. They were made in the 70s and 80s, but are complete!

The pathfinder game is one Dallas, who is 7, and David and I have been enjoying. You have to try finding the other persons marker, while navigating the maze they hid it in, without seeing it. Similar to battleship.

The Baby Bird game say up to 8 years, but Dallas was bored with it. It is simple enough for Freeman (4) to easily play, and Timothy (3) only needs a little help. It can get a little long in play, but a little bit of simple converstaion about the birds has kept it fun for the boys!

So, what are your favorite games to play with your kids or other adults?

Dallas & Freeman playing Legos

Legos are an all time favorite playtime activity at our house. One of the few toys that no matter which set you get, you can play with it a thousand times, but its never the same thing! (The only one not 100% thrilled is Mommy DeLaper! That is because I hate stepping on them, and I end up vacuuming up those expensive little buggers. However, hours on end of creative fun over-ride any faults they have.)

Just another day

Today, as I folded laundry, my kiddos played with blocks. Did you know you can play with blocks still? No batteries needed. Nothing to plug in. No voice or sound chips to annoy to death everyone within earshot.
Ahhhhhh...blissfully simple.
